Know the moment a UK visa sponsor licence changes
Every working day the Home Office republishes its register of employers licensed to sponsor overseas workers for UK visas, without saying what changed. SponsorMonitor keeps every edition since June 2021 and shows exactly which employers were added, removed, re-listed or downgraded, and when.

Sponsor of what, exactly?
A licensed sponsor is a UK employer or organisation that the Home Office has approved to sponsor people from outside the UK for a work visa. Most UK work visas, including the Skilled Worker visa used for nurses, care workers, engineers, chefs and IT staff, cannot be applied for directly. The applicant first needs a Certificate of Sponsorship from an employer that holds a sponsor licence. The Home Office grants the licence, rates it, can suspend or revoke it, and publishes the list of current holders as the register of licensed sponsors. An employer that is not on the register cannot sponsor a visa.
The register covers the Worker and Temporary Worker routes: the Skilled Worker visa (including Health and Care Worker), the Global Business Mobility visas for multinational transfers, Scale-up, Minister of Religion, International Sportsperson, and the temporary Creative, Charity, Religious, Government Authorised Exchange, International Agreement and Seasonal Worker visas. It does not cover student sponsors, which are a separate register. Each route and rating is explained here.
