Terms of service

Plain terms for using SponsorMonitor, including the paid plans. Last updated 26 October 2026.

What the service is

SponsorMonitor records each edition of the Home Office register of licensed sponsors, compares editions, and lets you watch organisations and receive alerts about changes. It is an independent monitoring service. It is not affiliated with the Home Office or UK Visas and Immigration, it does not give legal or immigration advice, and the published register is always the authoritative source. Before acting on anything shown here, check the register itself or take advice from a regulated immigration adviser.

Accuracy

We take care to fetch and compare the register accurately, but the register has no identifiers, so entries are matched by name and town, renames are detected by similarity, and the Home Office sometimes publishes incomplete files. We hold back editions that look truncated and say so, but we cannot guarantee that every change is captured or that none is spurious. "Removed from register" means an entry no longer appears; we do not know why.

Accounts and fair use

Sign-in is by email link. You are responsible for who has access to that inbox. Each plan has limits on watched sponsors and rule watches, shown on the pricing page and your account page. Do not use automated tools to scrape the site or to circumvent limits; the API plan exists for bulk access.

Paid plans

Availability

We aim for the site and alerts to be available continuously but do not guarantee it. Register editions depend on the Home Office publishing them, which it does most working days. Scheduled maintenance will be brief and, where possible, outside UK working hours.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for decisions taken in reliance on the information here, including recruitment, visa applications or compliance actions. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Data

Register data is Crown copyright, reused under the Open Government Licence v3.0. How we handle your personal data is in the privacy notice. You may export your own watchlist data at any time on paid plans.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email to account holders at least 14 days in advance. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions: hello@sponsormonitor.com.
